10 Things You Should Be Doing For Your Health Right Now

Meditate - Meditation Balances the Body's Systems. I'm not into all the  "Om" stuff, but sitting still for a few minutes with my thoughts really helps. Meditation helps ease chronic pain, anxiety, stress, improve heart health, boost mood and immunity. Not sure how to start?  Try Headspace or Calm app.

Contrast Therapy -The theory behind contrast bath therapy is that the hot water causes vasodilation of the blood flow in the limb or body followed by the cold water which causes vasoconstriction, increasing local blood circulation. Additionally, the lymph vessels contract when exposed to cold, and relax in response to heat. Afraid of ice baths and barrel saunas?  Ease into this alternating cold and warm in your shower.

Exercise - It's good to stay active throughout life but adopting healthy choices in adulthood has significant benefits, based on a recent study that links increased physical activity in middle age to reduced risk of death. ... The goal was to see how much continued activity from adolescence through older age reduces risk of death...Anything that reduces risk of death sounds pretty good to me...Among all the additional benefits.

Sleep - Along with the physical changes that occur as we get older, changes to our sleep patterns are a part of the normal aging process. As men age they tend to have a harder time falling asleep and more trouble staying asleep than when we were younger. It is a common misconception that sleep needs decline with age.  I use Whoop! to help me. Nutrition - Baldness, wrinkles, and back hair are the least of your worries; your body may be a walking time bomb. As you age, your body changes. Because of this, the best diet for men over 40 may look a lot different than what's on a 20-year-old's plate. A good diet is always beneficial, but when you're getting older, it becomes especially important to your health.

Communicate - For men, communication is a way to negotiate for power, seek wins, avoid failure and offer advice, among other things. We tend to believe that when we speak it ought to be something new, informative, practical and logical. That we should present a problem, or offer a solution, express an attitude…Because, if we don't have something useful to say, or where we can be "right", we won't speak.  Oh, but this is where the problem arises.  Ask questions, listen and just talk to those you care about. Make Money - Can we just agree that money IS important?  Whatever we feel about money, people with money, or the pursuit of money, can we at least agree that money IS important? Very important, even? “Money on its own is neither good nor bad. It is a means to an end.”

Have Sex - Not only is it excellent for getting the blood pumping and putting a youthful spring in your step, it has a number of other benefits too, such as reducing stress, strengthening your immune system, boosting self-esteem, and relieving depression.  Travel - I feel happy when I'm gaining new experiences and insights, and challenging my boundaries. Travel is the perfect catalyst for happiness.  Place experiences over things.  Even a single day road trip can help!

Reduce/Eliminate Toxicity - It’s hard to avoid toxic people sometimes. They sometimes appear like something else, and they’re sometimes inextricably bound up with our work or family lives. However, there are smart practical steps you can take to preserve yourself from this sort of damage.
